Types of Membership

LuCE provides three types of memberships: Full, Associate, and Individual. Full Members are non-profit lung cancer groups focusing on patients in the WHO European region; they can vote, propose projects, attend meetings, and hold Executive Board positions. Associate Members, also non-profit groups, lack voting rights but can suggest projects and attend meetings, with limitations on board representation. Individual Members, including patients, caregivers, or healthcare professionals interested in lung cancer, share similar rights to Associate Members, without having voting privileges and with board representation restrictions.

Full Members

Full Members include domestic and foreign non-profit active lung cancer specific groups, including online groups, which have a focus on patients from countries in the WHO region of Europe.

Full Members:

  • Eligible to vote and nominate or elect members of the Executive Board
  • Eligible to be elected as members of the Executive Board
  • Account for 50% of the elected members of the Executive Board
  • Eligible to submit proposals for projects and activities to the Executive Board
  • Eligible to attend annual General Assembly
  • Eligible to attend annual Members Meeting
  • Yearly membership fee of 100€

 

Associate Members

Associate Members include domestic and foreign non-profit groups which do not meet the criteria for full membership.

Associate Members:

  • Not eligible to vote
  • Eligible to be elected as members of the Executive Board
  • Eligible to submit proposals for projects and activities to the Executive Board
  • Eligible to attend annual General Assembly
  • Eligible to attend annual Members Meeting
  • Yearly membership fee of 25€

 

Individual Members

Individual Members include domestic and foreign individual patients, caregivers, advocates, or health care professionals with an interest in lung cancer, which do not meet the criteria for full or associate membership.

Individual Members:

  • Not eligible to vote
  • Eligible to be elected as members of the Executive Board
  • Eligible to submit proposals for projects and activities to the Executive Board
  • Eligible to attend annual General Assembly
  • Eligible to attend annual Members Meeting
  • Yearly membership fee of 25€
