NOVEMBER IS LUNG CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

According to Globocan 2018, in both sexes combined, lung cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer (11.6% of the total cases) and the leading cause of cancer death (18.4% of the total cancer deaths). In November all stakeholders mark the Lung Cancer Awareness Month and Lung Cancer Europe will continue to raise awareness about inequities regarding the access to lung cancer treatment and care in Europe. We will continue to fight for reducing the stigma associated with lung cancer and support early diagnosis and timely access to care that can foster better prognosis. Just keep in mind that lung cancer can affect everyone, elderly or young, smokers and non-smokers, males and females.
